Having worked as both a Chartered Accountant and business owner, I understand that decisions are rarely made in a spreadsheet alone. Business owners need advice that is commercially practical, straightforward and relevant to the real-world challenges they face every day.

My goal is to become a trusted adviser that clients can rely on, providing honest conversations, practical guidance and long-term support as their circumstances evolve.

Experience & Background

I'm a Chartered Accountant, business owner and adviser with more than 18 years' experience across accounting, business ownership, governance and agribusiness.

My career has extended well beyond traditional public practice accounting. I have co-founded and grown a business from startup through to employing more than 20 people across three locations, giving me first-hand experience of the opportunities and challenges that business owners face.

I have also held senior financial leadership roles, including serving as Chief Financial Officer for a large manufacturing business, where I was responsible for financial performance, strategic planning and governance.

Throughout my career, I have worked with startups, family-owned businesses, professional service firms, property investors and large agribusiness operations. I've helped clients navigate growth, improve profitability, plan for succession and make important commercial decisions with confidence.

In addition to my accounting and advisory experience, I have led specialist accounting teams and worked closely with business owners, directors and governance boards. These experiences have given me a broad commercial perspective and a practical understanding of what drives long-term success.

As a Chartered Accountant, I bring strong technical expertise across accounting, tax and business advisory. As a business owner myself, I also understand the realities of managing cashflow, leading people, making investment decisions and balancing risk with opportunity.

Based in Christchurch, I work with clients throughout Canterbury, New Zealand and internationally, using modern cloud-based systems and technology to stay connected and provide timely advice wherever they are located.
